Young-adult literature advocacy group LoveOzYA is conducting a survey into the reading habits of YA readers, with the results to be released later this year. The survey runs from 7 August until 31 September. It was devised by the LoveOzYA committee, chaired by manager of the Younger Sun bookshop Michael Earp.
The committee hopes the survey will reveal ‘how people [interested in YA] read, where they source their books and how they find out about their next read’. The survey is open to readers of any age, but will highlight teenage responses in particular.
The survey includes a competition to win a collection of Australian YA books donated by local publishers. The results and an accompanying analysis is scheduled to be released in November and will be published on the LoveOzYA blog.
