Novelists’ Boot Camp

Dates / Times:  10:30am-4:30pm Saturday 23 February and 10:30am-4:30pm Sunday 24 February

Don’t let your good idea go to waste – get it on the page over two days of intensive brainstorming, plotting and practical exercises. Arm yourself with the tools and frameworks to support your story. Create a book map, face your writing fears and guide your ideas into a workable narrative. Not for the faint-hearted! ¬†Prepare for an intensive weekend of planning and execution. Finish the weekend with a comprehensive plan to guide your first draft.

PLEASE NOTE: Admission to this course is by submission to ensure that projects are at a suitable stage of development; you will not be assessed on your writing. QWC will contact you to finalise payment once your submission has been accepted.

This course is suitable for emerging writers who have an idea for a new novel project. It is not suitable for writers who have already written the draft of their novel. Throughout the course, writers will complete activities designed to help them plan their novel and prepare to begin writing the first draft.

To register interest, please download the submission form from here. Fill out the submission form and return it to admin@qldwriters.org.au.  If you have any trouble or questions, please contact us on 07 3842 9922 or email admin@qldwriters.org.au.
