Omega Writers

Most of our writers identify with the Christian faith but all are welcome. Our sessions often focus on an aspect of writing craft, discussion of the industry and mutual critique of group members’ work. The Omega Writers Brisbane group is part of the national Omega Writers Association.

Brisbane’s oldest speculative fiction writers group, Vision writers was founded by Marianne de Pierres and Rowena Cory Daniells in 1996. The group’s primary goal is the critiquing of fiction with the intent of improving not only the piece in question but also honing the writer’s talent as well.

We love new members! Anyone from Brisbane and its surrounding area can join (we have members from the Redlands and Ipswich as well – if you’re willing to trek to the meeting we’re happy to have you).

Our first anthology ‘18’ is free from a broad range of ebook retailers including direct from our website, this link gives links to every place you can download it from http://visionwriters.net/18-the-anthology/. Our second anthology ‘Darkest Depths’ is similarly available at this link http://visionwriters.net/darkest-depths/
