The Writer’s Surgery program connects you with experienced industry professionals for advice and feedback on your project. This advice may include:

  • Writing Practice – Project and genre-specific advice on overcoming writers-block, finding inspiration and developing a regular writing practice.
  • Writing Craft – Advice on your work’s plot, world-building, characterisation, dialogue and broader narrative elements.
  • Manuscript development – A review of your submitted work including advice on its structure, strengths and weakness, and any suggestions for improvement.
  • Industry advice – Recommendations for developing your submission or publishing package, networking, opportunities and broader industry issues.
  • Formatting and Presentation – A review of the formatting of your work for your industry, with attention to accepted industry standards and guidelines.

The Writer’s Surgery program is a member only program. If you are not currently a member please review which membership option would suit you best on our membership page.

This not a manuscript assessment service or a pathway to publishing. Instead, this program aims to foster professional practice and provide writers with objective one-on-one advice and feedback in a supportive environment.
