Writing Friday Attendee-Exclusive Competition

Writing Friday volunteers and attendees across Queensland are invited to submit works for consideration for publication in an upcoming edition of the Writing Queensland (WQ) quarterly magazine.

There are four submission categories:

• Short Fiction (up to 1,000 words)

• Poetry (up to 40 lines)

• Flash Fiction (up to 200 words)

• 8-Word-Story

Applicants are invited to submit writing on any theme or genre, to the word count of your selected category. Submissions should be the original work of the author and unpublished.

Writing Friday attendees and ambassadors are eligible to enter. Entrants may enter multiple categories; submit only one piece to each category. Please direct any questions to writingfriday@qldwriters.org.au. All works will be considered for publication in WQ magazine. Successful applicants will be notified prior to publication in the June edition of WQ (285).
